Washington Area Women’s Foundation and the Executive Office of the Mayor, Office on Women’s Policy & Initiatives invites you to participate in WAWF’s Voice and Vision Forum: Stepping Stones Phase 2, one of six regional forums designed with the goals of:

Ø Sharing successes and lessons learned to date from Phase 1 (2005-2008) of Stepping Stones, our multi-year regional initiative focused on increasing economic security and financial independence for low-income women-headed families (i.e., single mothers and their children); and
Ø Seeking input and feedback from our community stakeholders and partners as we begin to develop Phase 2 (2009-2011) of Stepping Stones.
We invite you to attend the forum on Friday, October 26, 2007, 9:30am – 12:00pm at the Reeves Center on 14 and U Street, NW, Washington, DC.

The forum will provide an opportunity for dialogue on issues where we are seeking community input. We will consider the information and feedback gathered in designing the three-year framework for Stepping Stones for the period 2009-2011. We would like to structure our future work to have an even greater impact on low-income women-headed families in our region.

We hope that you will be able to join us at the October 26, 2007 forum, or at another forum that fits your schedule (visit thewomensfoundation.org for the full schedule). Please RSVP to Sherell Fuller at sfuller@wawf.org or (202) 347-7737 ext. 212 with your name, organizational affiliation and email address.
